CHARMOUTH has suffered a spate of graffiti in recent weeks - for the first time in years.Ida's Shop, in The Street, had the words 'Boy better know' painted on it. The house opposite was hit, along with properties on the sea front.Ida's Shop owner, Jim Hatcher, was shocked and confused by the writing on the wall."It's really strange," he said. "It's absolutely awful. It's such a lovely place. It's only the second time in five years this has happened, but this is something you normally get in a city."He said he had only painted the shop last spring, but would now have to paint it again.
