A 15-YEAR-OLD boy was rescued by the Lyme Regis RNLI after becoming trapped in silt at Charmouth. The boy had sunk up to his knees with the tide coming in on Monday night (August 4). The boy, whose father was with him, was released from the silt by coast

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy was rescued by the Lyme Regis RNLI after becoming trapped in silt at Charmouth.

The boy had sunk up to his knees with the tide coming in on Monday night (August 4).

The boy, whose father was with him, was released from the silt by coastguards.

On holiday with his family from Birmingham, the boy was said to be cold but otherwise unhurt and did not need hospital treatment.
