Police confirm that the 24-year-old dead woman came from the Exeter area.

The 24-year-old woman cyclist who died when she collided with house in Branscombe on Saturday (August 3) has today been named as Rebecca Scott.

The accident happened at around 2.15pm on an unclassified road in the centre of the village.

The victim, who came from the Exeter area, was descending a hill into the centre of Branscombe from the Beer direction, when she crashed into the house. She sustained serious injuries and died at the scene.

The woman’s next of kin have been notified.
