Breaking news: Two town councillors resign

AS one vacancy on Honiton Town Council was filled by co-option on Monday night, two more vacancies arose – following the resignations of Richard Gaughan and Jill McNally.

AS one vacancy on Honiton Town Council was filled by co-option on Monday night, two more vacancies arose - following the resignations of Richard Gaughan and Jill McNally.

The councillors stood down this week.

They had been a driving force behind research into Tesco's application for a new, larger store in Ottery Moor Lane and impressed councillors and members of the public alike with a presentation made a St Rita's Conference Centre last year.
