Worker suffered fatal injuries after concrete blocks apparently fell on him at Lyme Regis

A man who died in an industrial accident in Lyme Regis has been named by his family.

At around 2.30pm on Tuesday, June 2, police officers, along with the fire and ambulance services, attended an address on Somers Road after reports of a fatal industrial accident.

Thomas Adam Telfer, 31 and from Weymouth, tragically died at the scene. It is thought a pile of concrete blocks fell down on him.

His family gave the following tribute: “It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we confirm Thomas died following a tragic accident whilst at work on Tuesday.

“He was a much-loved husband to Jo and father to Clara and Penny, a beloved son of Lorraine and brother to Michael and Kirstie.

“Thomas will always be a shining light in the many lives he touched and his light will continue to shine through his children.”
