Police release latest crime figures for the Honiton town area.

Burglaries, thefts and assaults have topped the latest recorded crime figures for Honiton, town councillors were informed last week.

During the period between May 14 and June 11, police recorded 73 crimes.

These included eight assaults, six dwelling burglaries, eight burglaries other than from dwellings, two thefts of motor vehicles and two thefts from a motor vehicle.

Police also recorded five incidents of criminal damage, seven harassment offences, and three cases involving drugs, as well as one incident each of drink-driving, arson and public disorder.
