AN AXMINSTER man who was burgled is offering a reward to anyone who can help police catch the thieves or to get his goods back.
The man, who does not wish to be named, had collectible items worth over 30,000 stolen overnight on Friday, July 10.
He has put up a 1,000 reward to anybody who helps recover most of the goods or identification that leads to prosecution of the offenders.
DC Steve Harrison, of Honiton CID, said: "I have attended the scene of the burglary and spoken with the victim, who is absolutely devastated at losing a collection which has taken many years to acquire.
"Some of these items are rare, highly collectible and obviously of substantial value. The collection comprised mainly of Die-cast toy cars and other vehicles which many people will remember from our childhood days, and also sets of cigarette cards on a variety of themes.
"I believe the offenders knew what they were looking for."
