FIVE homes were targeted by burglars in Honiton between September 8 and Monday (October 13).

FIVE homes were targeted by burglars in Honiton between September 8 and Monday (October 13).Of those, four were burgled on the same night and, in each case, entry was gained through insecure doors and windows - prompting a warning from police.PC Ian Atyeo is reminding householders to keep doors and windows locked, especially as the dark nights close in.A fifth report involved an attempted burglary and police believe a would-be thief was disturbed.Homes were targeted in Langford Avenue and Millers Way.Crime in Honiton is 20 per cent down on last year.
