Burials boost income at Uplyme
UPLYME Parish Council’s finances are looking healthier than usual – because of an increase in burials.
Income from the cemetery was unexpectedly high, members of the parish council were told last week.
They voted to make donations to several worthy causes.
These included: King George V playing field trust (500), East Devon Citizens Advice Bureau (162), Axe Valley Ring and Ride (250), Red Cross (50) and Royal British Legion Women’s Section for Armistice Day wreath (16.50).
