Axminster Rotary Club gives £200 to the Ring and Ride charity towards the cost of a new vehicle

A £200 donation towards a replacement bus has been welcomed by Axe Valley and West Dorset Ring and Ride organisers.

The transport charity’s treasurer Stan Williams went along to the Minster Green at Axminster last week to receive the money from the president of the town’s Rotary Club, Simon Dunn.

Ring and Ride chairman Sandra Ward said that as the

much-needed bus will cost around £28,000 the charity was very grateful for the Rotarians’ generous gift.

Also at the ceremony were Joy Hull and Pete Williams, directors of the charity, along with East Devon District Councillor Douglas Hull, who is a staunch supporter of the vital work done by the Ring and Ride in enabling people to access the wider community.

Anyone interested in either using the service or wishing to donate to this local charity should call 01404 46520 weekday afternoons or Saturday mornings.
