Bus passengers in Seaton will benefit from funding provided by Devon County Council's East Devon County Committee. The eight County Committees have budgets from which Committee Members can allocate grants to local community groups or projects which will make a big difference to people's lives, in line with the Council's Strategic Plan. Seaton Coastal County Cllr Margaret Rogers has agreed to give £3,293 to provide a bus shelter outside Townshend House Medical Practice in Harepath Road in Seaton."I am delighted to have been able to use some of my County Committee allocation of money to provide this bus shelter," said Cllr Rogers. "There are no other funds available in the foreseeable future. I was approached by some elderly people who told me how cold they got waiting for a bus outside the surgery. When I discovered that no money was available I decided that this would be a good use for some of the money at my disposal. This adds to the significant number of bus shelters provided in Seaton by Devon County Council.
