A by-election date has been set to elect a new councillor onto Honiton Town Council.
East Devon District Council has informed the town council that a by-election will be held on December 15 to fill an empty seat in St Michael’s ward.
The seat was previously occupied by Cecily Young, who resigned in September following the council’s decision to apply for planning permission for the proposed community centre.
Nomination packs for those interested in standing as a councillor are available from the town council offices in New Street.
