AIR cadets from Honiton's 1064 Squadron recently enjoyed a visit to Devon and Cornwall Constabulary's Middlemoor headquarters in Exeter.

AIR cadets from Honiton's 1064 Squadron recently enjoyed a visit to Devon and Cornwall Constabulary's Middlemoor headquarters in Exeter.The cadets, accompanied by Flight Lieutenant Jim Sharp and Flying Officer Gary Tame, were met by Sergeant Harry Tangye, who acted as itinerary officer for the day.The purpose of the visit was to give the cadets an insight into how public service organisations operate.Cadets were shown how the police and air ambulance helicopters operate from the base, were given a presentation on how police use firearms and weapons and visited the force control room.The trip ended with an illustrated talk about traffic vehicles.Young people aged 13 and over can join the Air Training Corps.
