LYME Regis Museum is holding a coffee morning for would-be volunteers.

People are invited to meet staff and volunteers on Wednesday, March 3, from 10.30am to 12noon.

Museum manager Alix Fairley, who is organising the event, said: "Last year the museum welcomed its highest ever visitor numbers, with over 25,000 people coming to the museum.

"This means we need more volunteers to welcome visitors, sell tickets and help with the shop. No special historical knowledge or museum experience is needed, just a vfriendly outlook and an interest in meeting new people. We'll give people all the training they need."
