A THREE times former mayor of Honiton has told town councillors to get on with the job of building the much talked about community centre complex.

A THREE times former mayor of Honiton has told town councillors to get on with the job of building the much talked about community centre complex.Joanna Bull, addressing the annual town meeting on Monday, said the project should be pursued as an "immediacy concept"."It's an immediate requirement for this town," she added, pointing out building work could start now. The building could be added onto, as and when, she said.Councillor Vernon Whitlock, the Mayor of Honiton, said £1m had been secured towards the two-phase project, which was last costed at £2.2m."I am frustrated that it has taken so long," he said. "Now we've got £1m and we are determined to deliver.
