A sporty fundraiser which was cancelled after a heavy snowfall at the end of last month has been set a new date.

Students at Honiton Community College will now attempt 24 triathlons in 24 hours to raise money for Honiton’s Admiral Nurse appeal on Thursday, April 19.

The fundraiser will begin at 1.30pm in the fitness Centre at Honiton Community College, with PE3 being used as the sleeping area for those who are staying.

Selena Burroughs, head of sixth form at the college, said: “The Honiton Admiral Nurse Campaign is a very worthy charity to champion.

“To secure a Dementia nurse for our community will be a great asset and its quite humbling to see the students wanting to support this charity with all of their enthusiasm.”

The Admiral Nurse campaign is aiming to raise £150,000 to bring the specialist dementia nurse to Honiton.
