MORE than 250 cannabis plants were seized after two addresses were searched in the Honiton area.

MORE than 250 cannabis plants were seized after two addresses were searched in the Honiton area.

Police carried out searches at the addresses after a vehicle, a silver Volkswagen Transporter van, was stopped and found to contain a large amount of equipment normally used for growing cannabis plants.

Police stopped the van near Honiton at around 11.30am last Friday.

A 40-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were arrested but later bailed by police until March 16.
