Vehicle thought to have been deliberately set alight outside Axminster railway station in the early hours
Police are investigating a suspected case of arson after a car was destroyed by fire outside Axminster railway station in the early hours of today (Wednesday).
Local firefighters were called to the scene at around 4am and found the vehicle well alight.
Two crew members, wearing breathing apparatus, tackled the blaze and two hose reel jets were used.
Police were requested for suspected arson. The vehicle was 90 per cent severely damaged by the fire.
