Firefighters from Axminster and Lyme Regis attend incident.
Fire crews from Axminster and Lyme Regis were this morning (Wednesday) called to the A35 at Raymonds Hill following a report of a car fire.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the blaze, which was discovered in the vehicle’s engine compartment.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset fire and Rescue Service said the blaze, reported at 10.28am, had damaged 90 per cent of the engine.
