Firefighters called to smoking vehicle at Seaton’s Tower Services

Emergency services were scrambled when a car caught fire on a petrol station forecourt at Seaton yesterday (Tuesday, July 30).

Firefighters were called to Tower Service Station in Seaton Down Hill at around 3.15pm

The fire was out when the crew arrived. They confirmed there had been a small fire in the engine compartment of the vehicle, which they inspected to ensure it was safe. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
