Fire crews called to release casualty who is taken to hospital

Fire appliances from Seaton and Colyton attended a single vehicle road traffic accident on the A3052 coast road after a vehicle hit a tree in the early hours of today (Thursday, July 16)

One male casualty was trapped in the vehicle.

Crews arrived on scene at around 4am and worked with paramedics to free the casualty, using hydraulic rescue equipment. Police also attended the scene.

The casualty was extricated and conveyed to hospital. Crews made the vehicle safe.
