Axminster firefighters found vehicle well alight in Andrewshayes Lane
A car was severely damaged in a fire at Dalwood last night (Tuesday October 8).
Axminster firefighters were called to Andrewshayes Lane at around 7.4pm when they found the vehicle well alight.
Wearing breathing apparatus, they extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets.
Fire crews checked the vehicle for remaining hot spots using a thermal image camera.
The vehicle was severely damaged by fire throughout. Fire crews used small tools to make the vehicle safe. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
