A VEHICLE was towed away in Colyton after it obstructed several residents entering their driveways in Rosemary Lane.
The owner was also issued with a �30 fixed penalty notice and will have to pay �150 to have the vehicle released, plus �20-a-day storage.
PCSO Mike McGauley visited the area on Wednesday, February 10, and said it was the only option open to officers after they tried to identify the owner.
He said: "We would like to remind vehicle owners that, if their vehicle is causing an obstruction or a danger to other road users, it could be towed away."
He gave the following examples: blocking driveway access; obstructing road junctions (vehicles should park a minimum of 10 metres from the centre of a junction); not allowing free passage of vehicles - and to leave enough room for fire engines to pass.
