Car wrecked in Seaton blaze

Fire crew called to caravan site in the early hours.

A car was seriously damaged in a fire at a Seaton campsite in the early hours of this morning (Monday).

Firefighters form the town were called to Axe Vale Caravan Park in Colyford Road, at aorund 4.15am, after reports that a vehicle and waste bin were ablaze.

On arrival they discovered the fire in the bin had spread to a tree. One hose reel was used to extinguish the flames.

The crew then inspected the car in which the interior had been severely damaged by fire, one hose reel was used to dampen down the scene.
