Caravan destroyed in suspected arson attack at Dalwood

Firefighters found the vehicle completely burnt out

A blaze which wrecked a touring caravan at Dalwood yesterday (Thursday, January 29) is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Axminster were called to the scene at Burrow Knap Way at around 6am.

On arrival they found a touring caravan completely burnt out. Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a thermal imaging camera to ensure remaining hot spots were extinguished.

A spokesman said the fire is believed to be arson and police were investigating.
