AXMINSTER care home Magnolia House has been sold.
Gillian Jago, who acted as owner and operator of care homes for 37 years, has now retired.
The home has been bought by Adelaide Lodge Care Homes LLP, headed by Terry Lewis. The company has three other homes, including Adelaide Lodge and Sunningdale Lodge in Honiton, and Netherhays in Seaton.
Terry said: "The home fits well both size wise and location as an addition to our operations in East Devon.
"We have plans to develop the trade in line with our other homes, both in terms of staff training and services."
Christie and Co acted for Mrs Jago in the sale and purchase of the home. The business was sold for an undisclosed sum.
