Caretaker 'murdered' at Honiton Community College

PART of Honiton Community College was turned into a crime scene last week as students investigated the make-beleieve death of the school caretaker.

PART of Honiton Community College was turned into a crime scene last week - as students investigated the make-beleieve death of the school caretaker.It was all part of a Crime Scene Investigation Day, organised by the science department and run by Crimescene Workshops.Students had the task of solving the murder and were taught, in a series of forensic lessons, the skills they would need to crack the crime.They were able to identify blood spatter patterns, lift fingerprints, take hair and fibre samples and find footprints left behind by the perpetrator.Your Herald was careful not to contaminate the evidence!
