1st Honiton Scouts K9 CC has shown its support for the town’s new day hospice.
Members of the carnival club and scout group presented a cheque for £150 to help Hospiscare’s East Devon Day Hospice Appeal.
The charity needs to raise £250,000 to complete and run the state-of-the-art day hospice being built in King Street, which will serve the communities of East Devon. So far more than £40,000 has been raised.
Scout leader Steve Loader said: “We were pleased to give something back to the community.”
The money was raised when six adult members of the carnival club took on the Movember challenge - growing their own moutaches throughout the month of November - and from prize money the club won on the carnival circuit.
