TWO worthy causes have won the support of Honiton and District Carnival.

CLIC Sargent and Devon Link Up were chosen by committee members to receive cheques for £150 each.

The cheques were presented during the carnival committee’s annual meeting, held at Turks Head Lodge on Friday last week.

Representatives from both charities attended the meeting and were welcomed by carnival chairman Bill Austin and president Myrtle Harris. A large number of other local groups received cash payouts following last year’s procession.
