Cash and drugs seized in police raid in Honiton

A man has been arrested in Honiton after cash and drugs were seized in a raid.

Police executed a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant on Tuesday (April 24) in Westcott Way.

A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class A drug.

He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Police constable Jeanette Bassett, neighbourhood beat manager, said: “It is important that the police and the local community work together to combat this type of activity in East Devon.

“Intelligence and information from our community is vital and enables us to tackle criminality in the local area.

“I want to reassure the local community of Honiton and the surrounding areas, that this type activity is not accepted.”
