The Vine Social Club gives a helping hand to the Joe Gilson Mobility Scheme.
A Honiton-based mobility scheme has received a generous cash-boost to help continue its work in the local community.
The founder of the Joe Gilson Mobility Scheme, Carol Gilson, was presented with a cheque for £500 from the Vine Social Club by its chairman Michael Foxwell.
The money was raised during Charter Day and through a sponsored walk and other fundraising events.
Mrs Gilson recently handed over the scheme’s 74th mobility scooter to Shaun Emery, who lives in Honiton, and suffers with spina bifida. The scooter will give the 38-year-old a greater quality of life.
