An Axe Valley primary school is to get a major cash boost from the education authority.
Teachers, parents and pupils at Shute are celebrating after learning that they will receive £104,000 from Devon County Council to spend on essential maintenance.
The money will be used to make repairs to the roof and windows.
Headteacher Amanda Graham told The Herald: “The heart of the building is a Victorian school house so the funds are vital if we are to preserve this historic structure and continue to provide such an inspiring learning environment for pupils – now and in years to come.”
