A HONITON couple raised nearly £1,000 for charity when they opened their garden to the public.Roger and Barbara Stimpson, of Redwood Close, raised £948 for Devon Air Ambulance with their open garden day on Sunday, August 10.Mr Stimpson said: "It's very exciting. We raised much more than we expected."The air ambulance has been very good to me in the past. I've had heart problems and if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be here."Barbara built the features in the garden by herself - it's quite an achievement.
