Butcher supports local worthy causes.

Tony Potter, of Complete Meats in Honiton, has been giving money away - literally.

But he won’t be getting the chop, because he was helping the company support local organisations.

Gill Kendrick, headteacher of Awliscombe Church of England Primary School, accepted a £50 cheque on behalf of the school’s PTFA, saying the cash would go towards a new outdoor forest school area.

She was joined by children Josie and Jake Mabbutt and Paige McGovern.

Toddlers Tom Rintoul and Finley Honeywill and their mums, Nicola and Clare, were delighted to received a £50 cheque for Rockbeare Pre-School and Toddler Group.

Also pictured is Dave Dunn, of The Baton charity. Established by Alan Rowe MBE, the charity aims to maintain and raise awareness of armed forces service personnel and their families.
