No sign of forced entry at premises run by Children’s Hospice South West.

Police are awaiting the results of forensic tests following a burglary at a charity shop in Honiton run by Children’s Hospice South West.

More than £500 was stolen from the High Street shop, but it is understood the premises may have been left insecure.

A police spokesman said the shop’s alarm had not been set and that entry could have been gained with keys.

“There was no sign of a forced entry,” said the spokesman.

The burglary occurred overnight on August 6 - but has only just been reported to the Midweek Herald.

Anybody with information is urged to call PC Carly Davies on 08452 777444.
