A REWARD is being offered for information on the person who shot a cat in Honiton last month.Sixteen businesses in the town have raised £275 for any information which will lead to the arrest of the culprit who 'aimed to kill' the cat belonging to A Thomas, in Feniton, on July 24.Last week A Thomas wrote to the Herald describing how the pellet entered the cat's cheek just below her left eye. The cat's jaw was fractured in three places and, as well as watching the pet suffer, A Thomas' veterinary bill came to £300.One of the contributors, Liz Denton, of RKL Tools, in High Street, said: "I read the letter in the Herald and was upset by it."It sickened me and I thought 'what can we do about it?' "I visited Cat's Protection, and they were happy to help and it went from there."A lot of people read about it and were really generous and happy to chip in."Inspector Jim Gale said the matter was being investigated.
