LYME Regis Museum is holding a Night at the Museum to mark the international celebration of museums and culture.

LYME Regis Museum is holding a Night at the Museum to mark the international celebration of museums and culture.The event will start in the Marine Theatre Bar at 4.30pm, this Saturday, May 17 with tea and a short entertainment displaying the talents of the Marine's Youth Theatre Group. Presentations will then continue at the museum, starting with a talk by Richard Bull on Lyme's railway, at 5.30pm. A demonstration on how to discover fossils from the most unlikely pebbles will be given by Paddy Howe, the museum's geologist from 6pm to 8pm. At 6.30pm there will be a Treasures of the Museum tour; at 7pm a guided walk with trustee Ken Gollop to view the historic sites along Coombe Street as far as Mill Green; and at 8pm there will be a glass of wine and a demonstration of milling at the Town Mill.For more information, call the museum on (01297) 443370.
