Cemetery trees vandalised in Lyme Regis

POLICE in Lyme Regis are investigating after an attack on trees at the resort's cemetery, reports Luiza Rich.

POLICE in Lyme Regis are investigating after an attack on trees at the resort's cemetery, reports Luiza Rich.PC Richard Winward revealed: "Between May 1 and 3, someone cut the main central branch of four trees located at the top of the cemetary, near Henrys Way, lyme Regis. This has reduced the height and apearance of the trees considerably, and completely ruined the shape of them. All the brancehes were removed from the scene, so the offender would have loaded hem into a vehicle."The crime was not commited by youths, but of an adult or adults. A hand saw has thought to have been used. PC Winward would like to urge locals to "think hard" about this, and provide him with any information they can regarding the vandalism.
