Rumours scotched over who can attend licensing of new Rector
CHURCH officials stressed today that the licensing of Axminster’s new Rector – Rev John Streeting – will be open to the public.
Team Vicar Judith Abbott moved to scotch rumours that the ceremony, to be performed by the Bishop of Exeter, was to be attended only by invited guests.
In fact, she said: “We look forward to welcoming anybody who would like to join us for the service at 7.30pm in the Minster on Monday December 6 and for refreshments afterwards.”
