A Honiton teenager stood alongside her cricket hero, England captain Alastair Cook, when he won the toss and put his side back on the winning trail in the latest test match against India.
Charlotte Holdsworth, who attends Honiton Community College, was given the chance of a lifetime when she was chosen to be the England mascot for the Third Investec Test at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton on July 27.
The 13-year-old had a fantastic day meeting all the players from the England and India squads and helping the captains with the coin toss.
This opportunity was made possible through a partnership between Waitrose and Chance to Shine, which is a nationwide programme run by the Cricket Foundation to promote the sport in state schools.
Charlotte plays cricket at Honiton Community College thanks to the Chance to Shine scheme.
The test against India was the third of the Investec Test series.
Charlotte saw England reach 247-2 by the close of play on the first day with her favourite player, Alastair Cook, making 95. Gary Balance also hit an unbeaten 104, his third century in six tests.
England went on to win the game - its first victory in 11 test matches.
