Youngsters play boules and take part in an art contest to draw the Eiffel Tower
Chard Primary School pupils enjoyed a wonderful French Day last week, hosted by their modern languages teacher, Madame Bartoli.
Children were divided into teams and took part in a carousel of activities which included ‘petit-déjeuner’ at the “Café de l’école”, a rehearsal workshop for a Francovision performance, an art competition to draw the Eiffel Tower and a boules tournament on Monmouth Lawn.
The morning was concluded with the Francovision performances and a prize-giving ceremony.
Head Katie Hill, said: “The children had a fantastic morning immersing themselves in the language and culture of France. Bravo tout le monde!”
