Organisers described the event as a ‘wonderful celebration’ of local skills

The 36th annual Chardstock Show took place on Saturday (August 12) and attracted 325 entries from 54 entrants.

The annual event is a wonderful celebration of floral displays, garden and kitchen produce, photographs and arts and crafts, enjoyed by all age groups of the village community.

Judges commented on the high standard of exhibits, particularly in view of the challenging weather conditions faced by gardeners this year.

Trophies were presented by Father Geoffrey Walsh, the team vicar with the Axe Valley Mission Community.

Prize winners, pictured above (l-r), were Jonathan Milford, Kathryn Harding, Les Ellis, Alison Dams, Donald Burrough, Jacob Ingleston-Orme, Geoffrey Walsh, Heidi Ingleston-Orme, Jill Burrough, Charlotte Heavysides, Helen Wells, Jenny Green and Sue Back. The show is organised by Chardstock Gardening Club.
