Charges are disgusting’
I am writing with regard to the news in the Midweek Herald that the elderly are to be charged for alarm necklaces.
I am writing with regard to the news in the Midweek Herald that the elderly are to be charged for alarm necklaces.
Fortunately, I have benefitted from one, two or three times, and, as I live on my own, was very glad of the service.
No mention is made of the charges to be incurred and, to give such short notice of implementation to new holders, is, I think, disgusting.
Myself, I have had the use of one for several years and will have to pay from 2010 - if I'm still here!
I would love to know who had the idea in the first place. I would think it was some bright spark on EDDC, who has never experienced the difficulties one has to face later in life.
My motto is: "Do as you would be done by."
