Charity bazaar enjoys record profit

THE SEATON and Axmouth branch of Cancer Research UK raised over £2,000 with its Christmas bazaar beating its previous record.

THE SEATON and Axmouth branch of Cancer Research UK raised over £2,000 with its Christmas bazaar - beating its previous record.Paula Vickers, of the charity, thanked all who helped and donated items for the sale held at the town hall.She said: "Many local businesses donated tombola prizes, namely Cut 'n' Curl and Knights and Maidens hairdressers, Mulberry Manor Meats, Seaton Wine, The Tower Service Station, The Four C's and Simply Chocolate."Many others helped by allowing us to display our posters in their premises. "Without such support, I'm sure we wouldn't make so much money for the charity.
