Kilmington hairdreser signs up for her second charity sky dive

Charlotte Venn admits she should have learned her lesson.

Six years ago the Kilmington-based mobile hairdresser and fitness instructor threw herself out of a plane, 15,000 ft above the mountains of New Zealand for a frightening charity sky dive.

Now she is planning to do it again, in June.

This time she will be taking off from Dunkeswell for the tandem parachute jump, strapped to an instructor, to collect money for the village pre-school and for an organisation which will provide water and sanitation in Zambia.

Charlotte, 35, said: “Six years ago I jumped out of a plane 15,000 feet from the sky and on June 23 I am doing it all over again. Mad? Yes, but I will be strapped to a professional and it is all in a good cause.”

To sponsor Charlotte pick up a sponsor form at Hurfords Stores in Kilmington, at Millers Farm Shop or at Uplyme Church, or contact her at charlotte.venn@gmail.com
