Join Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre and Darrell Wakelam (local artist and sculptor) in the recreation of an ammonite graveyard during Charmouth's Fossil Festival, taking place on May 3 and 4 .Pop along to the festival marquee on the beachfront where adults and children alike can learn how to make ammonite sculptures, which can either be added to the graveyard or taken home to adorn one's own home. Other activities include fossil hunting walks, ammonite slice polishing, a dino dig and lots more to see and do. All events are free of charge, but booking for the walks is essential as places are limited. The Festival runs from 10am to 4.30pm on both days.
