Dunkeswell restaurant shares secrets of Indian cuisine.
The children from Broadhembury Church of England Primary School were invited to the Viceroy Restaurant, in Dunkeswell, for the day as part of their topic on India.
The day aimed to give them a greater understanding of the culture, the taste of traditional foods and the cooking methods used.
Sharz and Bobby, from the Viceroy restaurant, said: “We were extremely happy to have invited the school and our staff enjoyed their day as much as the children, we were really surprised that all the children ate all of the food.”
Staff at the Viceroy provided the entire party of visitors with a three-course Indian meal and taught the children and teachers to make somosas, potato chops and onion bhajis, focusing on the ingredients and spices used.
All the school staff were also treated to a meal, which was provided free of charge.
