Children see what life is like on the farm

Pupils from All Saints School, near Axminster, join youngsters at Farm Wise Devon

Pupils from All Saints Primary School, near Axminster, were amongst more than 1,000 youngsters who enjoyed a hands-on farming experience.

They were taking part in Farm Wise Devon at Westpoint, Exeter, where there were 12 fully packed education zones, representing different sectors of the farming industry: arable, beef, dairy, environment, food, fruit, pigs, poultry, sheep, vegetables, woodland and wildlife.

Devon County Council’s tenant farmers were 
among the zones, alongside some of the county’s leading farming and food entrepreneurs.
