Hembury Court raises more than £1,000 for charity.

An evening of Christmas fun at Hembury Court in Broadhembury raised £1,660 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The charity festive evening took place on December 12 and included carol singing, a selection of foods and gift items from local producers as well as a raffle to win luxury prizes such as a Land Rover experience.

Mandy Persey from Hembury Court said: “We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and, judging by the feedback we’ve had from those who attended, so did everyone who came along.

“The carol singing was a real highlight, it was very uplifting and light-hearted.

“It has definitely put us in the festive mood.”

She added: “We’d like to thank everyone involved for their support and helping us to raise this significant amount for Macmillan Cancer Support.”
