Colyton choristers’ skydive raises £1,300 for YoungMinds charity

Two members of Colyton Parish Church Choir leapt from a plane at 15,000ft and raised £1,300 for a mental health organisation that helps young people.

Matilda Board and Aaron Fitzpatrick completed a tandem skydive in aid of the YoungMinds charity in memory of their friend George Werb, who died in 2013.

Aaron said: “It was the most amazing experience ever had and to raise money for a charity close to my heart had been really enjoyable”.

He thanked all the people that had generously sponsored him.

Matilda said the experience had been “exuberating” and something she would like to do again. T

Now the pair plan to do the same next year for charity and hope more friends will join them.

* YoungMinds is the leading charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people here in the UK.
